Students from the College of Computer and Information Technology won the fourth edition of the Fire Fighting Robot Contest in the programming category

Students of the College of Computer and Information Technology at the University of Science and Technology shined during the Fire Fighting Competition in its fourth edition, which was held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Al-Ahliyya Amman University.
The participating team Tofan JUST from the Jordan University of Science and Technology was able to achieve first place in the robotics programming category.

The team consists of students:

1- Qutaiba Ananza - Third-year Computer Engineering (President of the IEEE RAS JUST Student Chapter)

  2- Malek Salama - Fourth-year Computer Engineering (Former President of the IEEE RAS JUST Student Chapter)

  3- Lima Hamad - Fourth- year of Computer Engineering (former vice president of the IEEE RAS JUST Student Chapter)

The team was supervised by Dr. Malak Abdullah, Head of the Computer Science Department and Supervisor of the IEEE RAS JUST Student Chapter.

These impressive results come as a result of the hard work and perseverance undertaken by the students and reflect the academic and technical excellence that the college’s students strive for. In this context, the Dean of the College, Professor Mounir Masaada, praised the students’ performance, stressing the college and university’s financial and moral support for the students to achieve outstanding achievements. 

This achievement demonstrates the college’s continuity in achieving tangible successes and enhances its reputation as one of the pioneers in the field of technology and engineering. This win is considered a valuable addition to the college’s academic history and highlights its ability to develop and direct promising talents toward successful career paths in the field of future technology and engineering.
