University of Science and Technology students won first place in the Meta CTF cybersecurity competition

The “G2” team of Jordan University of Science and Technology students achieved first place in the Meta CTF cybersecurity competition, which was organized at Princess Sumaya University for Technology by the University’s Cybersecurity Club, with the participation of 170 contestants within 44 teams from 8 participating universities, namely; (The host university, Princess Sumaya University for Technology, the University of Jordan, the University of Science and Technology, Yarmouk University, Al-Balqa Applied University, Tafila Technical University, Amman Arab University, and Petra University), with the support of major companies WizardCyber, Cguards, and TechArabi.

​Princess Sumaya University teams “CBL” and “M0tH3r5h1P” also achieved second and third places.


Prof. Dr. Mounir Bani Yassin, Dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology expressed his pride in the students' achievement of advanced positions in the world, praising their efforts and their endeavor to participate in competitions that support their scientific career, hone their practical skills, and enhance their spirit of innovation and creativity.

​​​​This year's competition included questions in all areas of cybersecurity, from securing and securing websites and servers, cybercrime, open-source information and reverse engineering.
