Jordan University of Science and Technology won the first three places in the Cyber Warriors competition
July 10 /// Jordan University of Science and Technology, represented by the College of Computer and Information Technology, won the first three places in the Cyber Warriors Competition, in its second edition, which aims to empower students who are passionate about cybersecurity and give them the opportunity to improve their skills, learn new technologies, and increase their confidence in their knowledge of cybersecurity.
About 600 contestants from various universities and schools of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan participated in the competition, which was organized by the National Center for Cybersecurity (NCSC Jordan) in cooperation with Al-Hussein Technical University, where 65 teams qualified for the final stage, each team consisting of four people, 64 of them were the students of the University of Science and Technology.
Prof. Dr. Mounir Bani Yassin, Dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology expressed his pride in the students' achievement of advanced positions in the world, praising their efforts and their endeavor to participate in competitions that support their scientific career, hone their practical skills, and enhance their spirit of innovation and creativity.
The competition was attended by the head of the National Center for Cybersecurity, Eng. Bassam Al-Maharmeh, the President of Al-Hussein Technical University, Dr. Ismail Al-Hanti, and a large group of the two working bodies at Al-Hussein Technical University and the National Center for Cybersecurity, in addition to teams of participating students from various Jordanian schools and universities.
