A scientific trip to Orange Village in Irbid

Under the auspices of the College of Computer and Information Technology, and in cooperation with the IEEE RAS team, a distinguished scientific trip was launched for students of the College of Computer and Information Technology at Jordan University of Science and Technology, to visit the village of "Orange" in Irbid Governorate, on Wednesday 4-5-2023. The scientific trip aims to introduce students to the fields of manufacturing and their importance in the world of modern technology, encourage them to broaden their horizons, and motivate them to discover new areas in the field of technology and science. This scientific trip was accompanied by the Head of the Computer Science Department, Dr. Malak Abdullah (IEEE RAS Advisor), and student Malik Salameh (IEEE RAS Chairperson). Where the students enjoyed the experience of the scientific visit and learning about the latest technologies and innovations in the field of manufacturing, thanks to the efforts of Eng. Karam Khreis, who is in charge of the manufacturing laboratories in Orange Village in Irbid, was keen to provide an opportunity for students to learn and interact with the equipment and tools used in this field. The trip included practical demonstrations on manufacturing some things using advanced equipment and digital mechanisms, which contributed to developing students' skills and enriching their knowledge of technology.


The Dean of the College, Prof. Mounir Masaada, praised this scientific activity, which is an opportunity to broaden the horizons of students and motivate them to discover new areas in the field of technology and science, thus contributing to enhancing their capabilities and future experiences in this vital field. He stressed that such scientific trips are important in promoting practical education and direct interaction with scientific and technical fields in practical life and encouraging students to explore and define their interests in these vital areas. This activity comes within the framework of the college's efforts to provide an interactive and advanced learning environment that enables students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their academic and professional lives.
