February 22 /// The National Information Security Competition in its fourth edition, "JUST-CTF-V4", was concluded today, Wednesday, organized by the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology at the Jordan University of Science and Technology, with the participation of more than 250 students representing official and private Jordanian universities.
The competition aims to strengthen students with cybersecurity skills and increase their employment opportunities in the information technology sector. It included competitions in the field of cybersecurity, through a series of challenges, requiring participants to practice several skills to solve them.
For his part, the Dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Mounir Bani Yassin, praised the competition, its organization, and its importance to students, and praised the students’ scientific level and their ability to analyze and solve problems. He congratulated the winners of the first three places and all students for their participation and completion of all stages of the competition, stressing the importance of students’ participation in extracurricular activities and events. Because of its great role in enhancing their practical experience, refining their personal skills, and enhancing their opportunities to compete in the labor market.
At the end of the competition, Bani Yassin crowned the winners and participants in the competition. He also thanked the organizers of the competition and praised its level and distinguished organization, which parallels international competitions.
