Important announcement for students interested in programming competitions - Submitting applications to participate in the individual programming competition
Dear students, who are interested in programming competitions
Problem Solvers
Greetings!
The Computer Science Department will begin evaluating the student programmers to begin the qualifying stage to nominate qualified teams for the programming competition "Jordan Collegiate Programming Contest 2024".
As this competition is held in October or November of each year, only a specific number of teams are allowed to participate.
For the process of selecting qualified teams to represent the university to be fair, we evaluate students in two competitions every year:
1- Individual competition: The contestant gets points up to a maximum of 15 points (due at the end of the second semester of each year). After that, the students choose their teams, so each team gets individual points, the highest of which reaches 45 points.
2- Team competition: Each team gets points according to the team’s performance, the highest reaching 55 points (due at the end of the summer semester).
Based on the two competitions, each student has a maximum of 33.33 points (15 from the individual competition + 18.33 from the team competition after dividing 55 by 3). Based on that, the teams are evaluated out of 100 points.
The date of the individual competition will be Wednesday 5/29/2024
From 8:30 - 3:30
The competition agenda will be sent to participants.
Applications to participate in the individual competition will be accepted by filling out the following form no later than May 23, 2024.
Any student not registered in the forum will not be able to participate.
