Within the SAXEED.ECO project which is supported by DAAD and in partnership between Jordan University of Science and Technology, Yarmouk University, Mosteghanemi University in Algeria, and Cummins University in Germany. The Center of Excellence for Creative Projects / Jordan University of Science and Technology is pleased to announce a hackathon contract entitled “Using Technology in Environmentally Friendly Solutions” during the period from 9-13/10/2022, where prizes will be presented to the first-place winning team so that it will be able to attend a training workshop in Germany, with the possibility of incubating and supporting the idea in the Center of Excellence for Creative Projects. The participants in the hackathon will also receive certificates of participation and training that will accompany the hackathon.

Participation Terms:

The application period for participation in the Hackathon begins on 9/22/2022 and ends on the evening of 10/1/2022

The participating team must consist of only 2-3 participants.

The participants are students from Jordan University of Science and Technology and Yarmouk University, who may be studying.

Members of the participating teams are formed from each university separately, and merging is not allowed in order to facilitate the process of obtaining travel requirements for the winning team.

A specialized committee selects the best ideas to participate in the Hackathon, which are five teams from each university.

During the hackathon, training will be provided in preparing a business model, design thinking, skills and requirements for presentation to arbitration committees, and protection of intellectual property rights. This qualifies the participants to prepare the best representations of their ideas in front of the jury.

The site of the hackathon is the Jordan University of Science and Technology Campus/Centre of Excellence for Creative Enterprises.

Hospitality and lunch are available to participants on training days.

​In the event of travel obstacles for the winning participant, the university shall not be held responsible.
