An orientation seminar presented by the IAESTE- Jordan at JUST to introduce the students about training opportunities outside Jordan. Students from both engineering and IT backgrounds will benefit from such training opportunities.
Iqra Technology Company
The College of Computer and Information Technology organized a lecture on 10-04-2017 about the technique of audio analysis of the Arabic language provided by Iqra Technology company. A review of the company's products related to Arabic language applications and artificial intelligence techniques was introduced. The lecture is followed by a discussion about possible cooperation between Iqra Technologies and CIT for student training and research (for graduate students).
Google- Jordan workshop
Dr. Rami Al-Rauf from Google-Jordan gave a lecture on 20/4/2017 entitled "Conversation Modeling as a Search Problem". The lecture was beneficial for students at different CIT departments and gave them a vision on what the real world job market is looking for.
CIS workshop about healthcare information systems security
The Computer Information Systems (CIS) Department at CIT held a scientific workshop titled "The reality and challenges of the privacy and security of healthcare information" on 16/04/2017. The workshop was held in collaboration with healthcare information system personnels from several Jordanian hospitals. In the workshop, most important challenges facing the security of healthcare information in Jordanian hospitals were discussed. In addition, prevention measures to secure such critical information from different threats were also discussed.
Hayan Information Security Company lecture
A lecture was given by Eng. Ali Al-Tamimi, founder and CEO of Hayan Information Security Company, to talk about Machine Data Security. Eng. Al-Tamimi focused on the Splunk platform as a platform for information protection and event management and how to integrate it into the work environment . At the end of the lecture, a discussion was held with the lecturer on the reality of the job market in Jordan and valuable tips were given to the students to help them in selecting a suitable career path.
NES workshop about "Internet of things"
The department of Networks Engineering and Security (NES) organized a workshop for the students about Internet of things (IoT). In the workshop, the students introduced IoT and possible hardware platforms that can support connecting "things". The management units (clouds) for such huge sensory collected data was also introduced to the attendees .
NES workshop about internet hacking & security
Eng. Mohammed Al-Khuraisha presented a lecture in the field of "Internet Hacking and Security". The lecture was beneficial for students who have projects related to security as several trending ideas were discussed by Eng. Al-Khuraisha.
