On March 10, 2020, the College of Computer and Information Technology hosted an advisory board day for its educational programs in the five specializations offered by the Vice President, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Abini, and the meeting was attended by a number of representatives of private and public companies, in addition to representatives from the academic sector.
During the meeting, the study plans, their educational outcomes and goals were discussed in addition to the vision and mission of each educational program, and the attendees enriched the discussion with their experiences and opinions. The advisory day for external committees is one of the requirements for quality management for educational institutions and private accreditation at the local and international levels, as well as the link with industry within the university’s strategic plan to reduce the gap between the outputs of academic programs and the requirements and needs of the industry and build optimal communication bridges with the public and private sectors.
The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ismail Al-Hamidi, gave a welcoming speech that welcomed the honorable attendees and gave an overview of the college’s vision, mission, and goals for which this meeting was prepared, and this was followed by a tour of the Center of Excellence for Creative Projects, the Information Security Center (Shemagh), and Cisco Academy, followed by a work lunch. Specialized workshops to discuss each educational program separately.
