Jordan University of Science and Technology participates in the ICPC 2025 World Programming Competition Finals in Baku, Azerbaijan

Jordan University of Science and Technology participated in the finals of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC), which was held this year in Baku, Azerbaijan, with the participation of the strongest university teams from around the world. This qualification came after the university team won first place in the JCPC 2024 national programming competition, making it one of only two teams from Jordanian universities to reach this year's world finals.

The ICPC is one of the oldest and strongest university programming competitions in the world. It was launched in 1977 and is held annually to attract elite programming teams, with competitors going through qualifying stages starting with national competitions, through regional and continental levels, to the world finals, which include the world's elite teams. It is worth noting that Jordan University of Science and Technology has achieved this accomplishment for the third time in its history.

This year, the university is represented by a team of students:

  • Ahmed Suleiman (Computer Engineering)
  • Ibrahim Al-Rabee (Computer Science)
  • Munther Abu Zeina (Computer Engineering)

under the supervision of team coach Dr. Malak Abdullah and student Mohammed Al-Qaryouti as assistant coach.

The Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology, Prof. Munir Bani Yassin, praised the team's outstanding performance and their great efforts that resulted in this honorable qualification, stressing that this achievement reflects the advanced level of the university's students and enhances its presence on the global stage in the fields of technology and programming.

In this context, the Jordan University of Science and Technology extends its heartfelt congratulations to its champion students and the team's coach for this remarkable achievement, affirming its pride in their success and wishing them success in the world finals and in raising the name of Jordan and the university high.
