The Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) achieved a remarkable accomplishment by winning first and third place in the national programming competition, Epicode 2, organized by Al-Hashimiya University. Eighty-eight teams from 21 public and private universities across the Kingdom participated in the competition.

The first-place JUST team consisted of Sharaf Makhala (Computer Engineering), Yassin Hussein (Computer Science), and Omar Ali (Computer Information Systems). Another team from the university consisting of: Mohammed Al-Qaryouti (software engineering), Ibrahim Al-Rabie (computer science), and Ayham Al-Salman (computer science), won third place.

The university sent more than ten student teams to participate in this edition, and they underwent intensive training under the supervision of the Deanship of the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology. The aim of the training was to develop the students' skills in competitive programming and algorithmic analysis.

Notably, this is not the first time students from the university have won first place; they also won first place in last year's inaugural competition, confirming their continued excellence and leadership in this field.

The Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology at the university, Prof. Munir Bani Yassin, expressed pride in and appreciation for this achievement. He praised the participating students and the academic staff who prepared them. He emphasized that these results reflect the college's advanced level in programming and computer science education, reinforcing the university's position as a leading institution in supporting innovation and student excellence.

The university's participation in this competition is part of its vision to enable its students to compete at the local, regional, and global levels and provide them with the technical skills necessary to keep pace with rapid technological advances.
