JUST students win first place in the IEEE CODESCAPE competition at the Kingdom level
Students from the University of Science and Technology of Jordan participated in the IEEE CODESCAPE National Programming Competition, organized at the university level, and achieved first place. They also received a financial award in recognition of their outstanding performance.
The winning team included the following students:
- Ayham Al-Salman (Computer Science)
- Sharaf Makahleh (Computer Engineering),
- Yassin Hussein (Computer Science).
The competition included three main stages.
- Solving programming questions in record time.
- Database Challenge:
- A technical challenge that required the use of an uncommon programming language or methodology and a high level of analytical thinking and innovation.
The dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology, Prof. Mounir Bani Yassin, praised the students' efforts. He stressed that this achievement proves that the University of Science and Technology of Jordan is one of the leading universities in programming and computer science in the Kingdom and region.
This victory confirms the excellence of the university's students and its commitment to supporting extracurricular activities that develop students' skills and prepare them to excel in local and international competitions.
