On Monday 6/1/2025, the College of Computer and Information Technology (CIT) at the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) held a meeting of the advisory committees for its educational programmes for the academic year 2024/2025.

Prof. Mounir Bani Yassin, Dean of the College, gave a welcoming speech in which he welcomed the participants, who included representatives from private and public companies, in addition to representatives from the academic sector and faculty members, and provided an overview of the College, its vision, mission and the objectives for which this meeting was held, in addition to introducing the recently launched programmes at the College, which are Computer Game Design and Development, Internet of Things, Health Information Systems and Robotics, followed by specialised workshops to discuss each educational programme separately.

Bani Yassin stressed that the college has been working to develop its curricula regularly and systematically to keep up with global developments and meet the needs of the local and international markets, and has made great strides in developing teaching methods and linking them to modern technologies. He also reviewed the new programmes recently introduced in the College, stressing the importance of feedback. He also explained that this meeting was a translation of the University's vision and philosophy of the importance of carrying out scientific and research activities and extra-curricular events that enrich the teaching and learning process, contribute to improving communication with employers and the local community, and enhance the role of students.

The meeting discussed the analysis of industry and labour market needs, with the participation of start-ups in the fields of game design and development, robotics and artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things, and provided valuable feedback on the skills required in the labour market in these disciplines.
