The field of Software Engineering was established more than 30 years ago. However, the bachelor's degree programs in Software Engineering worldwide have come into existence only in the last few years. SE is emerging from the need for a degree to fill the software industry's gap. Software engineering opens new job opportunities for our students in both the managerial and technical aspects. For managerial aspects, it provides knowledge in the following areas: Software Project Management, Risk Analysis, Software Process Management, Configuration Management, and Software Quality Assessment. The technical aspects provide knowledge in the following areas: Requirements Engineering and Analysis, Software Design, Software Construction, Software Testing, and Software Maintenance and Support. ​
