Hosting members from the Project Management Institute, Jordan Chapter (PMI – Jordan Chapter) to introduce the importance of project management and the certificates offered
The Software Engineering Department at the College of Computer and Information Technology hosted members from the Project Management Institute (PMI - Jordan Chapter). Where the team affiliated with the Institute, in coordination with Dr. Louay Alawneh, organized an activity for students as part of an initiative that is the first with Jordanian universities to introduce the importance of project management and certificates offered by the Institute, which helps in obtaining jobs in the labor market. A competition was held among the students and prizes were distributed to the winning team.
The members of the Institute met with the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Mounir Musaada, and a number of faculty members in the college. They discussed means of cooperation with the Institute, networking with the private sector, the importance of academic degrees in entering the labor market and obtaining competitive salaries, and the mechanism for international accrediting certificates such as PMI CAPM for students instead of credit hours. The members of the institute, represented by engineer Bret Hakos, handed over the shield of the institute to the university.
