Students from Jordan University of Science and Technology win third place in the Sumo Robotics Competition in the robotics programming category
In an achievement that illuminates the process of innovation and ambition at the Jordan University of Science and Technology, the distinguished “GENTA” team achieved third place in the Sumo Robotics Competition in the programming category for robots, which was hosted by Al-Hussein Technical University over three days full of competition and creativity.
The competition witnessed wide participation from school and university students, in addition to entrepreneurial companies, which added an enthusiastic and competitive atmosphere to the competitions. The “Genta” team, which consists of outstanding students: Khaled Barham and Haitham Ghaith from the Department of Computer Science, and student Tasnim Saleh from the Department of Software Engineering, excelled in providing exceptional performance and creating interactive technical solutions that were admired by the jury and the audience.
Commenting on this achievement, the Dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology, Professor Mounir Bani Yassin, expressed his pride in the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of the students, stressing the importance of such events in enhancing their capabilities and developing their skills in technical fields. He also thanked Dr. Malak Abdullah, Head of the Computer Science Department, for her continuous and supportive supervision of the teams, which had a significant impact on the students’ educational experience.
