The Computer Science Department holds an individual programming competition
In the context of the constant endeavor to raise the level of students and motivate them to be creative and distinguished, the Computer Science Department organized an individual programming competition on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. This competition aims to select distinguished students representing the university in national and international programming competitions. The competition included 10 complex programming questions written by the creative programmer Hossam Musleh, where students competed enthusiastically for 3 continuous hours to solve these problems.
In a joyful honoring ceremony, the Head of the Computer Science Department, Dr. Malak Abdullah, honored the winners who distinguished themselves in this competition. The ranking of the winners was as follows: 1- Ahmed Suleiman 2- Ibrahim Al-Rabie 3- Munther Abu Zeina 4- Yahya Baraka 5- Omar Ali 6- Yassin Ahmed 7- Muhammad Abdullah 8- Ali Omar 9- Hamza Harahsheh 10- Muhammad Al-Qawasmeh 11- Rayan Al-Omari 12- Moataz Awaqla 13- Saleh Al-Naji 14- Hashem Hamadin 15- Bashir Al-Jarrah 16- Mahmoud Hamad 16- Nourhan Al-Ayoub 18- Diaa Al-Dhaifi 19- Al-Amin Sabah 19- Osama Amira 21- Nagham Al-Rajoub.
On this occasion, the Dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology, Professor Mounir Bani Yassin, praised the tireless efforts made by the Computer Science Department, praising their dedication and excellence in organizing such events that contribute to developing students’ skills and directing them towards excellence. The Dean emphasized his continued support for the department's activities, pointing out the importance of these competitions in preparing a generation of programmers capable of competing in international forums. In response to this achievement, the Dean instructed establishing a training camp for distinguished students in individual competitions to enhance their skills and develop their abilities in solving programming problems. This camp will be supervised by Dr. Malak Abdullah, Head of the Computer Science Department and Supervisor of the ACM Programming Club, to support and guide the students and prepare them for upcoming competitions.
This achievement would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of the CTC Club team, who volunteered to monitor the competition and ensure it ran smoothly. In appreciation of their efforts, volunteers were honored with volunteer certificates to express thanks and gratitude for their valuable contributions.
In conclusion, we affirm that the Computer Science Department will continue its path towards excellence and creativity, providing continuous support to its students and motivating them to achieve the highest levels in programming and technology.
