​On Thursday, August 28, 2025, the Faculty of Science and Arts organized a special ceremony to honor Professor Dr. Khaled Shawakfeh, on the occasion of the completion of his term as Dean of the Faculty, in appreciation of his outstanding efforts and contributions during his tenure.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Professor Dr. Muna Abu-​​Dalo and Professor Dr. Ahmad Al-Ajlouni, Vice Presidents of the University, in addition to a number of faculty members and administrative staff, who expressed their appreciation and admiration for Professor Dr. Shawakfeh.

During his deanship, Dr. Shawakfeh provided a distinguished model of leadership and dedication in serving the Faculty and advancing its mission. His remarkable efforts and contributions were evident in developing the Faculty, enhancing its academic and administrative standing, instilling values of quality and excellence, and supporting both faculty members and students, leaving a significant impact on its progress.​

At the end of the ceremony, Professor Dr. Ahmad Al-Ajlouni presented a Shield of Appreciation and Excellence to Professor Dr. Shawakfeh, in an atmosphere filled with gratitude and respect. The ceremony concluded with the serving of traditional knafeh dessert, kindly offered by Professor Dr. Kamel Al-Khaled, in a gracious gesture that reflected the spirit of camaraderie and collaboration among the members of the Faculty family.​
