​A ceremony to welcome the new students in the faculty was held by the Department of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Arts, Prof. Qutaibah Khatatbeh and the Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering chairman, Dr. Amjad Mahasneh, on Thursday 12/10/2017. The ceremony included several activities. The opening was with a blessed reading from the Holy Quran, and was followed by the speech of the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Arts, Prof. Qutaibah Khatatbeh, and then a speech was delivered by the Head of the Department of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, Dr. Amjad Mahasneh. The ceremony also included a comedy play, some poetry and a musical show with playing the oud and singing. After that, the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Arts was honored, then the honoring of the superior students in different levels of study was done. At the end of the ceremony, a group picture of the new, old and superior students with the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Arts and the head of the Department of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering was taken.
