I welcome you to the Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities. This
department plays a vital role in university education. It offers courses and
academic plans that contribute to students' development. These plans aim to
shape an informed and cultured generation through the humanities and scientific
knowledge. This, in turn, reflects the university's vision and mission of building
and enhancing society towards a better future. In light of the department's
vision and mission, we have developed comprehensive and content-rich academic
courses that combine theoretical studies with practical skills. These include
leadership, innovation, creative thinking, volunteer work, leadership, social
responsibility, and community service. The department is committed to preparing
outstanding students who possess a combination of skills, creativity, societal
and human culture. To compete in local, regional, and global job markets. Our department is proud to have
distinguished faculty staff who are highly qualified to teach the prescribed
subjects and various activities at a high level of qualification. The department was founded in
1987 and is one of the departments of the Faculty of Science and Arts. The
department has thirteen faculty members in various specialties. It offers
multiple mandatory and elective courses in subjects such as Arabic language,
history, sociology, and Islamic culture. In addition, it offers courses in
entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership, and social responsibility. These
courses focus on students' interests and aim to integrate them into the local
community. They also train them in a variety of modes of thinking and innovation.
The department also conducts various non-curricular activities, including
lectures, seminars, and conferences on diverse topics. Our department's staff spare no
effort to provide what is up-to-date to keep pace with developments and strive
