Master's students must write a Master's Research Thesis, which demonstrates the student's ability to conduct and report original research in his or her concentration. The Master's Thesis is written under the supervision of a department faculty member selected by the student and approved by the committee. It should be 50 to 100 pages long and is usually written in the final semester of the Master's coursework. It must be formally approved by the supervisor and submitted to the committee for defence.
