The Department of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering received a delegation from the German Accreditation Committee (ASIIN) for three days  between 3/5/2024 and 3/7/2024 until the German accreditation for the specialty of biotechnology and genetic engineering/bachelor's degree is renewed, the delegation held a series of meetings .Meetings were held with the university administration, the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and students, in addition to representatives from employers and the private sector. The delegation visited the university's facilities, including teaching halls and laboratories, to see the equipment in general.​
