Protein Biotechnology Laboratory
This laboratory is designed to introduce students to the techniques of extraction, purification and characterization of certain plant and animal proteins. Students will learn different methods of homogenization, separation through filtration or centrifugation, then they will use some chromatographic methods such as gel filtration to purify the proteins and finally will characterize the protein by SDS-PAGE electrophoresis.
