Scientific Visit to the Directorate of Laboratories and Criminal Evidence
On Wednesday, 6/5/2026, the Department of Chemistry organized a scientific visit for students enrolled in the Forensic Science course (CHEM432), taught by Ayat Bani Rashid, to the Directorate of Laboratories and Criminal Evidence. The visit aimed to familiarize students with the operational procedures followed in forensic laboratories and to introduce them to the latest techniques used in the examination and analysis of criminal evidence.
This visit was organized as part of the Department of Chemistry's ongoing efforts to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications and to enhance students' understanding of forensic science and modern criminal investigation methods.
The visit was supervised by Abdellatif Ibdah, Head of the Department of Chemistry, and Khaled Al-Wedyan, who accompanied the students throughout the scientific tour. The visit included detailed explanations about the nature of work carried out in the various laboratories and the procedures followed in handling and analyzing criminal evidence.
