The Department of Chemistry organized a scientific field trip on December 29, 2025, to the Jordan Petroleum Refinery for students enrolled in the Petrochemicals course. The visit was part of the department’s efforts to enhance practical learning and link theoretical knowledge with industrial applications.

The trip was supervised by the course instructor, Dr. Mazen Shatnawi, and accompanied by the Head of the Department of Chemistry, Dr. Abdul Latif Ibdah. During the visit, students were introduced to the stages of petroleum refining and various industrial processes used at the refinery.

This visit is part of the department’s scientific activities aimed at developing students’ skills and deepening their understanding of practical applications in the field of petrochemicals.
