Training Workshop: “Mastering the HPLC Device Step by Step” Held by the Chemistry Department
The Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science and Arts organized a specialized training workshop titled “Mastering the HPLC Device Step by Step" on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in Salah Al-Din Auditorium. The workshop was held in collaboration with Ask Chemist About Courses (ACAC) and was presented by Mr. Amer Sweidan and Ms. Asmaa Ibrahim, both specialists in chromatographic analysis.
The event was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Muna Abu Dalu, Vice President of the University, Prof. Dr. Khalid Shawakfeh, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Arts, and Dr. Abdellatif Ibdah, Head of the Chemistry Department, along with a large number of faculty members and students.
The workshop featured interactive and practical content, aiming to enhance students' skills in operating and interpreting results from the HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) system—an essential tool in pharmaceutical and analytical chemistry fields.
Several motivational opportunities were offered to students during the workshop, including:
- Two internship opportunities at pharmaceutical companies, awarded through a random draw among participants.
- A fully sponsored grant for all attendees to enroll in a complete chromatographic analysis course.
- Special discounts on all ACAC training courses exclusively for Chemistry Department students.
This workshop reflects the department's ongoing commitment to supporting the practical and professional development of its students and to fostering collaboration with specialized training institutions, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for the demands of the job market.
