An in depth consideration of the various factors which influence the metabolism and disposition of drugs and xenobiotics (foreign chemicals). The roles of absorption, distribution and elimination will be considered. The mechanisms and sites of metabolism as well as the influence of physiological factors, physicochemical factors, inducers, activators and inhibitors on xenobiotic metabolism will be addressed. The involvement of receptors will be discussed.
