This course provides practice essential to the midwifery care of normal and high-risk postpartum women, newborns and their families.Focus will also be on the development and the application of knowledge and skills necessary for the midwife in the provision of health care to women during postnatal period, newborns and their families. By utilizing the nursing process, current research findings and integrating the principles of reproductive health and safe motherhood.
