Introduction to nursing is an introductory course which introduces nursing students in their first year of the program to concepts of contemporary nursing profession. These concepts include but are not limited to professionalism, caring, wellness, health promotion, effective communication, holistic care, teaching and learning, critical thinking advocacy & ethics. Students will be introduced to nursing process as a framework of critical thinking and clinical judgment. Nursing roles and responsibilities will be emphasized in this introductory course.
