The course provides theory essential to the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the clients across the lifespan in the community-individuals, families, groups, and the community itself. Emphasis is on the study and application of nursing role components inherent in community health for health promotion, and disease prevention based on the concepts of primary health care, self-care and home health care. Students are directed toward studying the nursing process through applying primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention of disease for clients in community setting.
