This course provides students with the opportunity to practice the specific roles and functions of the clinical nurse specialist in a variety of community health settings. In addition, the unique aspects of the leadership role and management skills in planning and providing quality care and services will be examined. Clinical practice involves collaboration and implementation of appropriate interventions in the context of community health care. Students will complete the practicum using experiential learning and seminars to accomplish the course objectives.
