​The Faculty of Medicine at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) welcomed a delegation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education – International (ACGME-I) as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the accreditation of the university’s residency programs.
The visit commenced with a meeting with the Vice President of the University prof. Basheer Khassawneh, during which the delegation discussed key challenges and obstacles related to maintaining and developing international accreditation standards, as well as strategies to advance the quality of clinical education and residency training in alignment with ACGME-I benchmarks.
It is noteworthy that Jordan University of Science and Technology is the only university in Jordan accredited by ACGME-I, having achieved accreditation for four residency programs to date — a testament to the university’s leadership and excellence in medical education and postgraduate training in the region

استقبلت كلية الطب في جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا الأردنية وفداً من مجلس اعتماد برامج التعليم الطبي للتخصصات العليا (ACGME-I)، وذلك في إطار متابعة الاعتمادية الأكاديمية لبرامج الإقامة في الجامعة.
وقد استهلّ الوفد زيارته بلقاء مع الأستاذ الدكتور بشير خصاونة نائب رئيس الجامعة، حيث جرى خلال اللقاء بحث سُبل تعزيز برامج الإقامة الطبية، ومناقشة أبرز العوائق والتحديات التي تواجه تطبيق معايير الاعتمادية الدولية، إلى جانب استعراض آليات تطوير وتحسين جودة التدريب الطبي السريري بما يتماشى مع معايير ACGME-I العالمية.
علما ان جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا حصلت على الاعتماد المؤسسي لبرامج الاختصاص وذلك الاولى محليا وضمن عدد قليل من المؤسسات خارج الولايات المتحدة الامريكية الحاصلة على هذه الاعتمادية حيث تم اعتماد أربعة برامج إقامة طبية ، مما يعكس مكانتها الريادية في مجال التعليم الطبي والتدريب السريري في المنطقة.​
