Pharmacology for Midwifery Students (M 256)

Course Objectives:

1. A review of the general principles of pharmacology, which are, covered in details in the course Med 255.
2. A discussion of drugs and therapeutic agents employed in the management of various conditions related to fertility and pregnancy.
3. A comprehensive evaluation of drug safety and efficacy versus adverse effects and teratogenicity during pregnancy.
4. A review of specific drug therapy employed in the management of various acute and chronic illnesses during pregnancy.
5. A pharmacological review of drugs employed in the management of normal and abnormal labor.
