The department of neurosciences was founded in 2002 by merging the divisions of adult neurology, pediatric neurology, neurosurgery and psychiatry. This unique collaboration between the nervous system related specialties aims to provide a comprehensive patient care system, an outstanding unique teaching environment for health care professionals at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and a foundation for innovative research in the feild of neurosciences.
