This course introduces the fundamental concepts of quality management in
healthcare systems, including definitions of quality, measuring and evaluating
performance continues quality improvement, and patient safety. The course
indented to enhance the student’s understanding of different approaches that can
be used to improve quality in healthcare settings, as well as to create an
awareness of the quality management as a core organizational strategy in
healthcare industry, with particular emphasis on accreditation and international
standards.
