This course provides an overview of the role of marketing in the delivery of health
care services. Emphasis is placed on the basic marketing premise that customer
needs must be satisfied in order to achieve health care organization objectives.
Students gain insight into the variables involved in developing successful
marketing strategies. The course also discusses the role of public relations and
marketing activities in the realm of health care today. Discussions will include
principles of marketing activity that contribute to positive promotion for the
reputation of health care services.
