This course will discuss the quantitative and qualitative methods of research that are commonly used in Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy. Students will learn about survey research, experiments, observational/field work, and interview studies. Topics to be covered include: methods of inquiry, causality, sampling, research instrument design, data collection, coding, ethics, and statistics (briefly).
