On Monday, November the 10^th, 2025, the Department of Nuclear Engineering at the College of Engineering participated in the scientific presentation presented by a delegation from Tokamak Energy, headed by Mr. Warrick Matthews (the company's CEO) and Dr. Michael Porton (the company's chief engineer).

Their presentation, hosted by the Jordanian Research and Training Reactor (JRTR), entailed a discussion of technological developments in the field of harnessing energy from nuclear fusion and the major projects along with different global companies working in this field.

The event was attended by His Excellency Dr. Khaled Toukan, Chairman of the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission, Dr. Majd Hawari, Director of the Research and Training Nuclear Reactor, Professor Dr. Rabie Abu Saleem, Head of the Department of Nuclear Engineering, in addition to a group of attendees including students of the Department of Nuclear Engineering and the reactor staff.
