On Monday, October 13, 2025, the Department of Nuclear Engineering at the Jordan University of Science and Technology hosted a delegation from the Public Security Directorate. The attendees were welcomed at the Nuclear Engineering department, after that, Professor Rabie Abu Saleem, the head of the department, delivered an introductory lecture about the university and the department in general, and a detailed explanation of the Jordanian Subcritical Assembly (JSA) facility in particular.

After the lecture, the delegation visited the Jordanian Subcritical Assembly (JSA) facility and was introduced to the various components and systems, including nuclear monitoring surveillance and security systems.

This visit, comes in implementation of the terms of the agreement signed with the Public Security Directorate regarding the “provision of a response team for the Jordanian Subcritical Assembly (JSA)”, which requires giving periodic lectures to the response team about the facility and its operation.
