​The Nuclear Engineering Department hosted a delegation from the European Commission and the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission (JAEC) on Wednesday, 19th February 2025. The visit was part of implementing the EU project titled “Strengthening of the Nuclear Regulatory Capacity and Safety in Jordan (JO3.01-23)”. The visit entailed a meeting with the dean of Engineering, a field visit to the Jordan Subcritical Assembly (JSA) and a meeting with NE personnel at the department’s meeting room to discuss potential collaboration and cooperation activities under the umbrella of the above-mentioned project. The visiting delegation consisted of four European experts and the manager of the Transport and Radioactive Waste Directorate from JAEC.
