The Department of Nuclear Engineering organized a field trip to the Jordan Research and Training Reactor (JRTR). The visit aimed to familiarize the students of the Nuclear Engineering Department at Jordan University of Science and Technology with the practical applications of nuclear technology and to introduce them to the operational mechanisms of nuclear reactors and their uses in scientific research and training.

The visit included an introductory tour inside the reactor, where the students received a detailed explanation from the team about the reactor's design, components, and its importance in advancing scientific research and supporting academic programs. Additionally, the safety procedures of nuclear operations and the importance of adhering to them to ensure the safe and sustainable operation of the reactor were highlighted.
