Lecture to introduce the Jordan Research and Training Reactor (JRTR)
The Faculty of Engineering at the Jordan University of Science and Technology organized a lecture to introduce the Jordan Research and Training Reactor (JRTR), and the services it provides to researchers, presented by Dr. Majd Al-Hawari, director of the reactor, and several heads of the various departments in the reactor.
The lecture included an introduction to the JRTR and an explanation of its importance as a national project and a pioneering center for training students, researchers, and workers in the field of nuclear technology. Dr. Al-Hawari added that the reactor is used for scientific research, the production of radioactive isotopes for medical uses, and for the purposes of training, and support for nuclear applications in the fields of medicine, agriculture, water, and industry, at the level of Jordan and the region.
At the end of the lecture, which was attended by some faculty members and university students, an extensive discussion took place during which the lecturers answered the audience’s questions and inquiries.
