​The Department of Nuclear Engineering at the Jordan University of Science and Technology hosted a delegation of secondary school students and teachers from Oman, Malaysia, and the Philippines, winners of the international educational competition in the field of nuclear science and technology for students and teachers in the Asia-Pacific region, which was organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency to introduce nuclear energy. The delegation was also accompanied by a team from the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission and the Ministry of Education.

The visit aimed to learn about the nuclear engineering program at the Jordan University of Science and Technology, as it is the first and only program that grants a bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering in Jordan. In addition, the visit also included a tour to the subcritical nuclear system which is the first nuclear facility in Jordan.
