The Industrial engineering department held a scientific day "Industrial Engineering Towards Entrepreneurship and Creativity" at Jordan University of Science and Technology.
The event was initiated by the head of the Department of Industrial Engineering, Dr. Mohammed Al-Momani, who spoke about the Department's vision of providing an appropriate environment for teaching industrial engineering and applied research, pointing to the latest achievements of the department and its degree of distinction among the other departments in the Faculty of Engineering.
Dr. Al-Momani focused on the interest of the entire academic staff in the department in creating a positive environment for students, covering technical and research needs in various sectors, their interest in creativity and keenness to sponsor pioneering projects that will help students in their educational and professional careers.

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Suhail Kiwan, spoke about the history of the college and the stages of development that it has undergone since its inception, and the achievements achieved by the College both locally and internationally.
Dr. Kiwan also announced the start of the College's preparations to seek European accreditation, as was previously approved by the United States, in order to pave the way for university graduates to complete their studies in the European Union countries and to keep pace with the latest requirements of the European market.

The President of the University, Dr. Saeb Khreisat, praised the efforts made by the educational and administrative staff in various faculties in order to raise the university's name and raise it to the highest rank. He also praised the efforts of His Excellency the Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Supporting their entrepreneurial projects and exploiting their ideas for the benefit of all society.
Dr. Khreisat stressed the need to exert effort and hard work, not to wait for ready-made opportunities that rarely exist on the ground, and to strive continuously to seize all possible opportunities.

The speech of His Excellency Dr. Tarek Al-Hamouri came to emphasize the role of teaching staff at the university in graduating the ranks of qualified students able to keep up with the labor market and eliminate the problems facing the state in the recent period. Dr. Tarek Al Hamouri pointed to the excellence of creative Jordanian creative projects, stressing that they are applicable and comply with all local and international standards.

An open dialogue session was held with HE Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, General Manager of Joe Petrol, Vice President of Engineers, CEO of SAGO International Group and Director General of the Vocational Training Corporation. Supporting these entities to creative projects, and embracing them to make them achievable.
The session also included many students' questions which showed their keenness to benefit from the experiences of the guests.

The workshop ended with the support of the Engineers Association and promises to students to provide full support for the real entrepreneurial and creative projects, so that financial difficulties do not become a hindrance to the success of these projects.
Dr. Tarek Al-Hammouri, the Minister of Industry and Trade, opened the exhibition of participating companies and distinguished projects for students. The second part of the event included scientific lectures for representatives of the participating companies.
