A team of industrial engineering students conducted a visit to the manufacturing facility of JAMCO, the International Plastics Company. The visit provided an opportunity to explore the role of industrial engineers across various departments, including production operations, quality control, supply chain, and warehousing.
During the visit, the students were introduced to different types of raw plastic materials and the distinctions between them. They also gained insights into the diverse production processes for plastic pipes and covers, along with the methodologies used to ensure product quality. This included understanding the specific production techniques for each product and the subsequent laboratory tests necessary to verify the quality of the final products.
Special thanks are extended to JAMCO and its esteemed staff for their valuable hospitality and support.
