Welcome to the Industrial Engineering Department

The department of Industrial Engineering was established in 1999 to meet the growing demand for qualified industrial engineers in the region. The department demonstrates the pioneering effort of JUST in multidisciplinary education and research.

Currently, more than 800 students from more than 10 countries enrolled in our undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The degrees provide graduates with broad and flexible career opportunities in manufacturing, transportation, distribution of products and services, health care and safety, utility planning, entertainment, and the environment. JUST female and male industrial engineers are highly recruited by well-known public and private companies in- and outside Jordan.

In 2023, a new academic program titled “Product Design and Development Engineering” was launched. The University of Science and Technology uniquely offers this distinguished program at both the national and regional levels. It was developed to provide high-quality education that integrates the principles of engineering science and technology with design fundamentals.

The program comprehensively covers all stages of product development, beginning with idea generation and product definition, progressing through prototyping and preliminary design, followed by design validation and testing, and culminating in product development, implementation, and commercialization (marketing).​
