​Dr. Saher Albatran, associate professor in the department of Electrical Engineering, have been selected as the inaugural recipient of Distinguished Instructor Award​. 

​Under the patronage of the president of JUST's Board of Trustees, Dr. Munther Haddain, and in the presence of JUST president prof. Sa'eb Khresat, the university held a ceremony to recognize the winners of the Distinguished Instructor Award in its first cycle (the year 2019). The Award aims at creating an atmosphere of positive competition for the purpose of motivating instructors to develop their teaching skills using contemporary and innovative techniques. The winners were 6 instructors at the college level and 3 at the university level. The winners went through a rigorous screening and selection process that involved different committees at both levels that worked as per preset criteria.

The event coincided with celebrating the achievements of former JUST President Prof. Sa'ad Hijazi who is a long-time contributor to JUST for about 40 years. The event witnessed distinguished presence and was attended by a large audience including members of the Board of Trustees and a number of former JUST presidents​​
