The Department of Electrical Engineering at JUST offers the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical Engineering in the following two specializations:
-
Communications Engineering
-
Power Engineering
The B. Sc. degree is awarded after successful completion of 160 credit hours in addition to practical training of not less than 8 weeks. The undergraduate curriculum provides a broad foundation in both standard and modern topics in electrical engineering. The first year of study is mainly devoted to basic sciences; the following three years include basic engineering sciences and broad electrical engineering fundamentals, while the fifth year permits a reasonable amount of specialization through specialization packages and elective courses. The Department has also initiated an M.Sc. program in 1980 in response to the market needs, and, as a result to the success of the B. Sc. program. The Department offers M.Sc. degree
after completion of (34) credit hours and the successful preparation of the thesis. Two main areas of research are available: Wireless Communications and Power and Control. |
