3 Credit hours (3 h Lectures). Power semiconductor devices: types, drive circuits, protection circuits, and power loss calculation. AC-DC converters: uncontrolled and fully-controlled single-phase and three-phase rectifiers, half-controlled rectifiers. AC-AC converters: cycloconverters, ac voltage controllers. DC-AC converters: single-phase and three-phase inverters. DC-DC converters: step-down, step-up, and step-down/up converters.
