This lab includes experiments on heat and mass transfer. Most of the equipment includes a data logging capability where the data are automatically logged in into a PC. This feature is highlighted during the lab to acquaint the students with the use of modern technology in their jobs.
This lab features the following equipment:
1. Axial and radial heat conduction unit.
2. Free and forced convection unit.
3. Thermal conductivity of liquids and gases unit.
4. Shell and tube, coil, and plate heat exchangers.
5. Boiling and condensation unit.
6. Gaseous diffusion coefficient apparatus.
7. Liquid diffusion coefficient apparatus.
8. Wetted-wall gas absorption unit (Convective mass transfer ).
9. Saturation pressure and throttling unit.
